Leo’s first instrument was the flute followed by many saxophones and then in the late 90s he started to make a study of the alto flute, a deeper version of the soprano or orchestral flute commonly know as “the flute”. Leo now is able to present a short concert (up to a half hour) on the alto flute that can include the history of the melodies of his life followed by some ragas for contemplation and meditation. Works perfectly as a support act or in conjunction with other short presentations. This video is of Leo playing alto flute at the 2010 Quiet Music Festival at the musing studio where instead of drawing a model, participants were encouraged to sketch a solo musician in performance.
